The Three Stooges is one of my favorite TV shows, especially the episodes with Curly Howard and whenever the stooges get scared.

Curly was painted in graphic reduction, only for this painting I did not use Adobe Illustrator to manipulate and reduce his features into simple shapes. I substituted the employment of a computer program by projecting a Three Stooges episode, Spook Louder, on to a screen and paused it at the right moment, in which Curly had the exact frightened look I wanted to capture. After situating the canvas in front of the screen, I easily traced his features shown from the projection and kept the edges sharp.

I included Spiderman to create a little goofy mystery. Although Spiderman is known as a superhero to us, what is Curly really afraid of in this painting?
