Dada Day
This was an original readymade composition using just one material: my prom dress from 2008. Upon conception of this piece, I particularly kept thinking over and over about the opening lines from Sheryl Crow’s song for the James Bond film, Tomorrow Never Dies:
“Darling I’m killed. I’m in a puddle on the floor waiting for you to return…”
Although the dress is functional on its own as Dada, I wanted to see what it would be like to make a performance out of it.
